CUSTOM PEN FAQ
Is the deposit amount deducted from the overall total?
- Yes. The $50 from the deposit will be taken off the final balance.
Can I make changes prior to my pen being made?
- Yes. Changes can be made in regards to ONLY in house material and nib selection. Additional costs might occur depending on upgrades to either selection. Changes can also alter the estimated time for completion. All of this will be discussed at length if/when the change request is made.
How long will it take to get my pen?
- At the end of the order form there will be an estimate time for completion listed. This is only an estimate as many things can happen to extend, or shorten the time table. The time starts once the form is filled and the deposit payment has been made.
What if I don’t care for the pen once it’s finished?
- With all the materials I make no two pens will ever look the same. I do understand that everyone has different tastes. If the pen that I make isn’t to your liking and is an in house resin I will agree to make a 2nd pen for your consideration and you will have your choice between the 2 pens. I can not make several of one style in hopes of getting just the right one. If this is a major concern please consider the pens that become available on the website instead. Those are photographed individually so you can select exactly what you are after.
Will this deposit ever be more than $50?
- On rare occasions, yes. If you are wanting an exotic celluloid or likewise rare material I will need to increase the deposit amount to cover the cost of materials. The added funds will be invoiced separately.
Can you make a pen to fit my ______ nib?
- At this time I am declining to fit non Jowo nibs into my pens. Please email me separately about this before submitting an order form.
Can I buy a pen without a nib?
- No. All of my pens will come with a stock Jowo nib with my logo engraved.
If I want to order multiple pens do I submit a form for each?
- Yes. Please submit and pay for each pen/form separately. As long as they are done at the same time all pens will be made together. In the messages box you can make a note that multiple pens are being ordered.
Do I need to purchase the material separately for my pen?
- No. Your material selection will be made and set aside for your order. The stock levels has no bearing on their availability in regards to pen orders.
