Hello! My name is Jonathon Brooks, owner and operator of Carolina Pen Company. I am based in the small town of Aiken, SC where I was born and raised. I reside here with my beautiful wife and two daughters.
My venture into making pens started in September of 2009. Since then I have developed my knowledge, skills, and techniques to turn your basic writing instrument into a piece of tangible art. One of the skills I really invested myself in is learning how to design and create my own line of custom resin pen material. This allows me to be able to tailor each pen to its owner. Whether its Alma Mater colors, wedding colors, a favorite sports team, or just a classic pairing I am able to make a pen an extension of your personality. Which is how I came up with my slogan/catch phrase of "Putting your personality in writing".
Beyond my designer in house resins I also create pens using all types of materials from domestic/exotic hardwoods, ebonite, rare vintage plastics, and artistic embeds. The possibilities are endless with what can be made into a pen.
Carolina Pen Company is a small family run business with everyone helping out.
Aiken is a well known equestrian community and it's no different here on our farm. My wife and oldest are accomplished riders and my youngest daughter has certainly caught the horse bug!
